exclusives and world premiers on the new WHA!? album

the whole thing was not my idea
but you get under the influence of him
if you spend too much time with Maverick Cheese
as I told you earlier we were hanging together in the docks few days ago
and I showed him the tracks I selected
we were talking about the WHA!? series
the times how it started, how it grow so fast
he said that the WHA!? is probably the most important bootleg compilation series
and it can be true because there is no other series like this
not in form, concept, presentation
it was nice but scary to hear these from him, so I told him everything
what I plan for the next album
and he said that I should ask my favourite mashup producers
maybe they have some new things to be released on the next WHA!? album

I was always picky and cruel if it was about the WHA!? tracklists
and we never had too many exclusives
(two only if I remember right, the irresistible ComaR track and one of mine bootz)
it is hard with the exclusives
because the concept of the WHA!? is to show the best bootlegs of the scene
compiled and directed them into some concept
and what happens if the offered exclusive does not fit in the theme?
anyway you know Maverick, so I had no other choice
than promising him that I will make a try
...
and now I have to say, Maverick was right, again
I asked my favourite producers, told them the basic concept and her you go
there are 4 (!), yes FOUR exclusive, previously unreleased tracks on the lineup now!!!!

each artists featured in the series earlier with brilliant tracks
so you know what I feel now :)

the new WHA!? album is in works

I spent the whole day down in the docks
hanging out with Maverick Cheese
he was training, working on his tricks
I was sunbathing, watching the waves and listening music
yes, it means I started to work on the new WHA!? compilation
the working title is Travelling Without Moving
as it looks currently, it will be a chilled, downtempo groovy compilation
but we will see
the 30th of May is not tomorrow ;)

2 days only till the 10 - 4 BABY

the next WHA!? compilation is ready
as you know it already the title is 10 - 4 BABY

this is the most exciting period in the WHA!? story
the 10 - 4 BABY is the sixth album in the row
and the huge success of the stuck in the eighties made high expectations
I'm very excited now, really

it was very nice to see how the series is getting more and more popular
respected in the mashup community and even beyond that
I hope the WHA!? has became the Cafe del Mar
or the Dope on Plastic of the mashups scene
I remember when these legendary compilation series reached the 5th volumes
the experts were talking about a kindda crisis and I understand it now
generally it is a huge pressure to be always better, but not in the mashup world
but if you make a compilation your hand are tied
the quality depends on others creativity
even if the mashup scene is the most colourful and creative music scene ever
and I'm totally amazed and grateful just to be part of it
it was scary to put the sixth WHA!? album together
the stuck in the eighties was downloaded more than 10 000 times
to make a new WHA!? album is responsibility now
make it better make it bigger and keep it real

well
I think I did it again :)))

this is not a cheesy eighties pop album
well, maybe sometimes it sounds like
but hey, these are all the sounds of that golden decade
every bootleg on this album contains at least one song from the eighties
and you will see how rich and creative period it was

the concept was born when I worked on the psychodizziac
and it really started with Earlybird's wanna dance mash
but when I compiled the tracks I found a lot of deep tunes
so the stuck in the eighties really shows the happy
and the darker side of the 80's sound

this album starts twice
Earlybird and the girls are giving us a warm welcome
and BC and the boys start the serious falling down into the deep
team9 brings us back to life
and we will party hard with A+D and GHP
and after a spiritual touch by Apollo Zero
Loo & Placido will give us a nice and emotional chill

MASSIVE THANKS 4 all the producers for creating outstanding music for us

the golden era of sex, drugs and music, and the Rubic Cube of course
the stucked in the eighties will contain bootlegs based on hits from the 80's

the stucked in the eighties will contain two exclusive, previously unreleased mashups
