this is the most unique album of the WHA!? history
it started as a silly idea
I found a nice compilation called Hot Boppin Instrumentals on the V-Rocket
I decided to make one or two mashups with them and release that as an EP
but I was not able hold them back, so I invited my favourite bootleggers
to join the ultimate retro joyride of this summer
the concept is simple
we took the old instrumentals and mashed them with very well known new songs
then the whole material was mastered by Celebrity Murder Party
and the result is amazing
the Forgotten Hits is the biggest fun in this summer since the JesusPhone
the very first mashup album for every generation
show it to your grandparents and they will have fun too
but the most important thing
the contributors of the Forgotten Hits proved that the music is timeless
good and kool things will always get through and find one another

Love the mellow vibe. Not your everyday mashup. Thank you for making it available.

what do mean it's like being locked in a room with your grandpa's record player... my grandpa had an Edison cylinder player... for me that expresion should be locked in a room with your father's record player... I love Jazz now... I used to hate it, but since learning to play Bass, I've begun to appreciate the subtleties of improving basslines...

Thank you so much for mulling over such a bizarre idea long enough to go through with it. This is the coolest stuff I have heard in a long time. Like listening to SHAG painting.

This is great stuff! You even have an A side and a B side to your "album." What a hoot. Some of these tracks and really new and wonderful, too. SOmetimes when you add A + B you get a lot more than both of 'em.

Sweet collection as ever...I love this stuff. It's sometimes fresher than the dance/chart mashup stuff (All of which I love too...) as you hear stuff that you wouldn't otherwise.

Well done. Really works and breathes some new (old) style into well-known pop hits. I shall spread the word...

The one I thought I would like the least ended up being the one I liked the most. Who knew Brittney could sound so funky over Grady Martin's The Fuzz?

when i made Hot Boppin Instrumentals my intention was to introduce the original popcorn oldies sound to those who never heard it before. I was very suprised that you guys got influenced to remix the songs and do your own thing on it. My compliments.
Because of this compilation i will start to work on a next one called Cool Boppin Instrumentals.

Ps. Do a internet search for popcornoldies

I like, dig it the most...

But I'm a sucker for this ultra-lounge "hip" stuff in the first place... I'll be going over for the hot instrumentals compilation as soon as I finish this comment...

Pour yourselves extra martinis on me... It's the bomb.
